Sweets Cafe and Crepes in St. Catdarines

Our first time here (Oct 2019) and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the brunch and esoteric menu (relative to the usual bacon & egg joints). Service was friendly, attentive and engaging, and my wife and I have promised ourselves to walk over a couple times a month for "something special" when we tire of the usual breakfast fare elsewhere. Not cheap, but you truly get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Very nice place, great service and amazing food! You have to come here for brunch! It is a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation because it is a busy spot. Prices are reasonable and there is a big parking lot on site.

Great place to grab a coffee and an afternoon treat. I had the best maple and bacon rice krispie square here!

A hidden gem! Literally one of my favourite little places to go. They have odd hours, but it is worth the planning to visit. Reasonably priced menu, great service, excellent food and THE BEST chocolate cake.

Great breakfast, friendly staff. Crab eggs Benny or goat cheese and spinach omelet. Will not be disappointed. Get there sausage from somewhere local as well delicious.

Gloria is an incredible baker and waitress too. Gotta try her lemon coconut cake not to mention all her other cakes and quiches. Everything is done with great care.

Excellent place for a breakfast or brunch

I head for this little gem of a restaurant every time I'm in St. Catharines. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and the food is delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Definitely a treat!

This place is great. We had the pancakes with maple syrup and an omelette with home fries. Everything was amazing!

Are first time here and will return. Very nice setting area in side and comfortable seats great service and nice staff that are always there. Home made in house food and in house cakes. For the two of us it was under $35 no cake we got to full.

A wonderful dining experience. The staff here are friendly, the food is always delicious and made fresh daily. I honestly can't say enough good things about this lovely little cafe.

wow, we had a wonderful pumpkin/black bean soup on Monday and I was amazed. I don't usually like pumpkin but tried it anyway and I was blown out of the water. of course love the quiche and the whole lunch too. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone anytime.

The owner and her son do a great job looking after their customers. The food cooked by Mark is great and so are the portions. Reservations are a much if you want to be guaranteed a seat. Prices are very reasonable.

Great food and presentation. Super friendly. Thank you for accommodating my breakfast request even though it was lunch time! One of the ladies working there made a smart remark when I asked to be seated by a particular window and was also cursing and talking about potential customers passing by. Maybe this is a cultural nuance I don't understand being from the states but it made me quite uncomfortable.

This place was highly recommend by other people on Google maps and it did not disappoint. The service was quick,the coffee was good and the food very delicious. The apple strudel had soft pastry and lots of apple pieces. The cherry cheese cake was smooth yet not overly filling. Easy to access for my mother and her walker. There is a ramp in the sidewalk right near their door. The price was not expensive.

What a great place for breakfast/brunch/lunch! I highly recommend the crab cakes eggs benedict, the puff pastry wrapped salmon, and the roasted vegetable sandwich...delicous soups and quiches, too...super fresh and very affordable. Because it's family owned & operated, there is a wecloming, friendly atmosphere...love it!

This is a hidden gem. The placename is a bit misleading since this is a full on restaurant although you can just pop in for a coffee and a sweet. As it gets near mealtimes the place gets crowded and the proprietress suggests making reservations. She calls a lot of people by name so obviously there are many regulars.I had a deep dish quiche that was very tasty. It came with a soup that was wonderfully complex with root vegetable earthiness set off by notes of citrus zest. For dessert we had a lemon cake that was too big for one person. Definitely a "two forks please" treat.

Phenomenal food and incredible service. They make their own syrup and use goat cheese instead of other cheeses. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have their tastebuds tickled for breakfast or lunch.

We went for a lunch on Sunday, I had spinach, roasted red pepper and goat cheese omelette, and friend had Salmon en croute. Both dishes was very good and tasty. Only coffee had a little bitter taste. Our server was very friendly and professional “Gloria” and thank you to chef Mark for outstanding dishes! I would recommend this place for lunch and breakfast.

Went to go for breakfast and they used to be open until 2. Now 1:30 which is fine because we got there at 1. Only to be told the kitchen was closed. So.... they are really only open until 1. Which sucks because we loved the food there.

Sweets Café and Bistro is truly one of my favourite places to eat - The food is excellent - and all of my family and friends who have gone there with me agree - Also Mark and Gloria are a pleasure to see each time we go - everyone should find this little café - around the corner to visit and enjoy.
